Simple Assembly draws inspiration from childhood toys like Lego and snowflake inserts, combining simplicity and ingenuity in its form. Through model verification, Sun decided to utilize the snowflake design, which allows for easy fixing and assembly on the concave and convex sides. The result is a display stand that can be assembled and fixed using magnetic absorption and rubber interference matching, providing users with a seamless and customizable experience.

One of the key strengths of Simple Assembly is its modularity. The design features four frame rods of different sizes and three accessories, which users can assemble and fix using magnetic absorption and rubber interference matching. This modular approach eliminates the need for multiple exhibition frames for different poster sizes, reducing waste and maximizing the utilization of resources. Additionally, the design can be used not only for conventional floor display racks but also for the construction of small and medium-sized exhibition walls.

The design also incorporates a u-lock structure, allowing users to quickly fix the exhibition frame on lampposts and other products for the construction of posters or publicity plates. This versatility enables users to create eye-catching displays in various settings, further enhancing the functionality of Simple Assembly.

Simple Assembly utilizes a range of materials to ensure durability and ease of use. The connector is made of rubber, allowing for easy connection of up to three steel pipes. The slip ball, made of rubber, reduces friction and maintains the stability of the frame. The clamp, with a plastic upper part and a silicone lower part, provides a quick and secure way to fix posters. The U-shaped lock structure is made of metal oxide for enhanced durability. The aluminum alloy spray-painted display rack stick prevents oxidation and offers a lightweight solution. Finally, the frame rods feature a concave-convex tenon-and-mortar structure with magnetic and metal ends, enabling easy assembly in various configurations.

Simple Assembly offers users a range of options with its four sizes of frame rods: 15mm x 570mm, 15mm x 620mm, 15mm x 950mm, and 15mm x 1020mm. Users can select the appropriate frame rod for their poster size and easily build the exhibition frame. Through model verification, the design has been proven to support both small exhibition frames (minimum size of 1000mm x 600mm) and large exhibition frames (maximum size of 4000mm x 4000mm).

The development of Simple Assembly began in March 2020 in Chongqing and was completed in June 2020. The design is currently on display at the Luo Zhongli Art Museum in Chongqing. Throughout the project, Huajie Sun conducted extensive research, analyzing the limitations of existing display racks and identifying key areas for improvement. The result is a design that addresses the inefficiencies of traditional exhibition frames and offers a more convenient and efficient assembly experience.

Simple Assembly has received recognition for its innovation and practicality. The design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Office Furniture Design category in 2021.
